Amy Watts

“My first horse cost $500 of borrowed money and his name was Doc.  He started me on a 20 something year long journey through colt starting, horse training, bronc busting, reining horses, cowhorses, cutting horses, rope horses, giving lessons, leading trail rides and sharing my love for the equine breed with whoever came my way with the desire.  Along the way, I met the love of my life, a cowboy from New Mexico named James, who once he took a gander at my art, told me I was spending my time in the wrong field.  He told me, ‘You’ve lived it, now show us how it feels!’  The past couple of years, my saddle has a bit more must and mildew on it as I have put myself out of the barn and in front of the canvas.” – Amy Watts
