Paul Sheldon

Paul Sheldon’s paintings are bright, stylized images that are still easily recognizable scenes of western life and landscape. Sheldon paints in a daring, fresh manner, using an array of color across the spectrum. Vivid rust, purple, magenta and pink juxtaposed with deep earthen tones with warm yellow highlights suffused with beiges and rich, cool blues or greens, Sheldon uses color to energize his western scenes. His subjects are often outlined for added effect, making them appear three dimensional, standing out in front of the backgrounds.
