Michael Baum's subject matter is primarily Southwest scenery including everything from small mining towns, isolated ranches, valleys and canyon cliffs to urban street scenes. His paintings run the full range of experience where some are lighthearted and playful, others convey loneliness and solitude of the Western landscape.
