Laura Donavan

Before dedicating herself exclusively to fine art, Laura was a commercial illustrator and designer, for nearly 30 years working for some of America’s biggest brands. Creating concept art for new products as well as illustrations and design for packaging, books, and new media. She and her husband ran their design and film company from Montana and Wyoming before settling in the mountain town of Salida, Colorado. Her Mother, a portrait painter who grew up in Venezuela, encouraged Laura and her two sister’s natural talents from a young age. As a child Laura spent her summers with her grandparents at the family ranch in Colorado. These visits inspired a deep love for the area. Her western surrealism pays homage to the mythic landscapes and iconography of the West.

Laura’s work is represented in Arizona by Wilde Meyer Galleries.  Click on any piece to enlarge it.
