Patricia Hunter
Looking at a Patricia Hunter watercolor painting, the viewer seems to be able to touch the animals and feel the coarseness or softness of the hair, the warmth of the body. Hunter’s art goes beyond being a “realistic” depiction of an animal. She captures a pinpoint in time and creates a brilliant composition.
Patricia was born and raised in California. She began painting when she was 18 years old and at 21 she entered her first show. The response to her work was phenomenal. Encouraged by friends and family, and her obvious love of animals, especially endangered species, provided her the impetus to depict them in a unique and magnificent way. Patricia has received both bachelors and masters degrees from San Jose State University, San Jose, California.
Patricia’s work is represented in Arizona by Wilde Meyer Galleries. Click on any piece to enlarge it.
