Robert Anderson

While a young fine art student at St. Francis University in Ft. Wayne, IN., Robert Anderson worked designing T-shirts for famous rock and roll bands like Neil Diamond, The Mammas and the Pappas, INXS, Bon Jovi and many more.  When his first solo painting show sold out, he took the leap into fine art and never looked back. Since then, he has won many awards including “First Place” and “Best of Show” at the Taos Fall Arts Festival Open as well as a purchase award from the Scottsdale Cultural Center (The Scottsdale Museum of Fine art). He was also invited to show his work at the Florence Italy Biannual in 2002.  Robert has been featured in a number of publications including, New American Paintings, Southwest Art, Art in America, and The Collector’s Guide. Robert donates many paintings a year to charities benefiting children including The Denver Public Education and Business Coalition Annual Art Auction in Denver, Art From the Heart in Phoenix and Pleasures of the Palette in Scottsdale. His amusing– yet engaging– scenes of animals set in ambiguous situations have charmed and inspired collectors.  His ethereal landscapes speak of ancient, timeless beauty that brings the viewer to a world of incredible imagination where colors bleed into the wind and the birds never land.  Robert paints a visual song, where colors, like notes, create texture, harmony and melody, rich in meaning, meant to speak directly to each viewer individually.

Robert’s work is represented in Arizona by Wilde Meyer Galleries.  Click on any piece to enlarge it.
