Sheridan Brown
“I am currently exploring a “direct style” of painting that emphasizes careful observation and discipline of brushwork. The idea is to lay down one brush stroke at a time and leave it alone. The first stroke is always the easiest as the following brushwork has to relate to it. This style of painting forces me to explore and get to the real essence of a subject without a lot of confusion and unimportant detail.” – Sheridan Brown
