DJ Berard

D.J. Berard says:  “I paint because I have a passion for color and form.  I was trained as a classical sculptor, female forms, anatomy, clay, bronze, stone and wood.  Things changed when I was forced to take a painting class as part of my graduate program.  My work is impressionistic in color and application of paint. I use images of what is familiar, alleys in the city, favorite hiking trails in the mountains of Sedona, Mesa and Phoenix, the rivers and streams that are cool and inviting, and the trees and buildings with interesting shadows.  I recently relocated to Cincinnati.  My landscapes reflect the greens and blues found here.”
