SUMMARY:Southwest Fiestas
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the holidays and Fiesta Bowl with Wilde Meyer Annex artists. Participating artists include Stephan Morath\, who portrays the Navidad evening procession “Las Posadas” with all the charm and reverence befitting the event. \nDeb Komitor portrays another sort of celebration – that of Myth and nature combined.  Her animals seem to converse with each other as well as the viewer. In the painting “In Council with the Spirit Bear” Komitor’s white ravens advise the approaching white bear. \nMichelle Mackenzie expresses sheer joy and happiness in her ceramic depictions of animals.  “The Journey” a bright red ceramic horse carrying two preening birds is beautifully typical of Mackenzie’s work. Susano Morales is one of the best 2nd generation Oaxacan carvers\, and his brightly painted animals enthrall art lovers.   \nThere will be many more exciting artists\, including Alix Stefan\, Stefano\, Leigh Gustersan\, Charles Davison.  \nIn addition to the celebratory originals\, Wilde Meyer Annex will show our annual ornament collection.  These ornaments show images graciously donated by our artists\, to benefit animal charities. They are great for Hanukkah or Christmas giving.
