Join us for an indoor/outdoor spring art celebration with an emphasis on sculpture which will be displayed in the gallery and throughout the beautiful Plaza Colonial grounds.  We will also be showing paintings, jewelry, and mixed media work.  We will be having artist meet and greets as well as artist demonstrations.  View new work by many of our gallery artists including Stephen Morath, Sarah Webber, Ka Fisher, and welcome newcomer Sarah Kathryn Bean.  Sculpture by Jess Davila, Wayne Salge, John Heiman, Ken Kasten, Adam Thomas Rees, Lisa Gordon, and many more will be presented.

Native Spirit

A Gold Palette ArtWalk

Thursday, March 4th, 7:00 – 9:00 PM

Artist Nocona Burgess will be in attendance to discuss his work.

 

A show of Native Spirit interpretations by Native and non-native artists.

 

View new work by Nocona Burgess – a member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma.  Sculptor Greyshoes, whose heritage includes Santa Clara Pueblo and White Mountain Apache, will be showing new work. Non-Native Jim Nelson’s paintings are a metaphor for a spiritual connection to the natural world, and Lance Green’s work is like an abstracted portrait of Native people because he has always resonated spiritually and aesthetically with them.  His work is definitely about Native Spirit.  Comanche artist Eric Tippeconnic’s work will also be on display along with other artists’ interpretations.
