Monika Rossa

Monika Rossa is a Tucsonan. She never thought she would live in the Desert, call it home, and love it. She was born in Poland and came to the United States in her twenties. It wasn’t in her plans, but life rarely pays attention to the plans we are making. She has been painting since she was very young. Her dream was to become an artist. She attended many schools and art programs. Only after painting for the last fifty years, she understood that she was one. One becomes an artist every time they hold a brush with a true intent of expressing the world, and she did it almost every day.

Monika Rossa paints people, animals, landscapes and abstractions. In order to paint people, she took drawing seriously and practiced it for years. She claims that the human figure is one of the most difficult things to draw, and she paid special attention to master it. “In order to have a freedom of distortion, I need to know how it really is, first” she said.

Below are examples of Monika Rossa’s work.  Please contact us for more information.
