Wilde Meyer presents “Interpretations,” a show focusing on the varying ways each artist views and depicts their subject matter. One artist, Robert Anderson, creates entrancing, abstract “visual songs” where striking colors create harmony, melody, and texture containing rich meanings significant to each viewer in differing ways.
Brian Boner sees and depicts his subject matter in an entirely different way. Using a more representational approach, his work is the embodiment and transformation of ideas and feelings into tangible form. His figural and sometimes collage-like compositions give a sense of memory and nostalgia.
Timothy Chapman began his collegiate career in biology which went on to influence his artistic and visual interpretations of wildlife. He refers to his style as “Invented Natural History Illustration.” His work attempts to illustrate the conflict between real and the imaginary. It is a take on nature that the precision of video and photography cannot replicate.
Also showing with be Tony Dow, Ana Marini-Genzon, Patricia Hunter, Jacqueline Ellens, Rena Vandewater and many others.
