Wayne Salge

Wayne Salge’s signature style applies equally well to his cast bronze animal and human figures. His interest in the history and tradition of bronze melds with his contemporary abstracted visions to convey an attitude or mood from his subjects and still leave room for individual interpretation from viewers.

Salge’s art education focused on art history, painting, sculpting, bronze casting and stone carving while his professional career included television art direction, Army illustration and 30 years of graphic design and illustration. He is an elected member of the National Sculpture Society and a fellow in the National Sculptors’ Guild.

At his home and studio in northeastern Colorado, Salge creates acrylic paintings on panel and bronze sculptures in small numbered editions ranging in size from 5 inches to 16 feet in height. His work is exhibited in juried and invitational shows and galleries as well as indoor and outdoor public installations and collections.

Wayne Salge is represented in Arizona by Wilde Meyer Gallery.
