“Walking in nature. Drawing in gardens. Experiencing the environment. Expressing these moments in time through mark making and color. This is what inspires me. In essence, my art is an expression of what I have found beautiful in life. One stroke of color and line inspires the next.

When ka Fisher began her undergrad art training, American Expressionism was the national du jour guide for painting students. Basic design and composition saved what was left to salvage. Those same basic elements today set up a painting for re-interpreting the figurative and abstract elements which can coexist.
