This show explores the use of traditional subjects handled in a very contemporary way. Artists include subjects of landscapes, flora, fauna, and abstracts. Contemporary western art does not have to stay in Arizona or the rest of the west, it feels right at home in New York, San Francisco, or Chicago. Artists in the show include Jim Nelson, AM Stockhill, Lance green, Jill Gilbert, Maura Allen, and others.

Jaime Ellsworth, Ryan Hale, and Sarah Webber all bring different concepts in painting to this show. Webber’s paintings are rooted in a traditional painting style, while Ellsworth places her fanciful subjects in imaginary places. Ryan Hale’s work is mostly conceptual, inviting the viewer to reach conclusions on their own when viewing his work.

Renowned artist Linda Carter Holman brings a vibrantly rich world to life through a variety of artistic media. While the glowing and seemingly innocent nature of Holman’s work is what draws the viewer into her colorful world, it is her sense of humor and talent for detail that brings the viewer back into her paintings again and again. They are not only aesthetically pleasing, but they also challenge the viewer by creating new and vivid perspectives on life.

Known for their fabulous animal artists, Wilde Meyer Gallery will be presenting a show highlighting our nonhuman companions. Everything from the usual dogs and cats to feathered friends and rabbits will be represented.
“Amazing Animals” will open for the 1st annual Bone Appétit Artwalk. Everything from the photorealism of watercolorist Patricia Hunter to the offbeat oil on canvas interpretations of Trevor Mikula will be shown.
